Sled Push
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Sled
HOW TO PERFORM
- Take the uprights high for a taller drive, or low for a deeper forward lean.
- Set the body in a long line from the hands to the heels and lean into it.
- Drive the sled with short, powerful steps, staying low rather than standing up between them.
- Keep pushing for the prescribed distance or time.
FORM TIPS
- Pushing, not dragging: no harness or rope, and the trunk leans INTO the load rather than away from it. There is no lowering phase at all, which is why it is so easy to recover from.
