Single Leg Calf Raise (Bodyweight)
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Stand on one foot with the ball of the foot on the edge of a step, the heel hanging free, and hold something steady with one hand for balance.
- Let the heel sink as far below the step as it will go.
- Press up onto the toes as high as you can and pause at the top.
- Lower slowly back into the stretch, finish the set, then switch legs.
FORM TIPS
- One leg carries all of you, so each rep is far harder than on two feet. Full range at both ends still matters more than the rep count.
