Side Plank Leg Raise
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set up in a side plank on the bottom forearm, elbow under the shoulder, feet stacked and hips lifted so the body is in a straight line.
- Keep the hips up and lift the top leg straight toward the ceiling, toes pointing forward.
- Lower it back onto the bottom leg with control, without letting the hips sink.
- Finish the set, then switch sides.
FORM TIPS
- The hips stay high and square. If they sink or roll back as the leg lifts, lift the leg less far.
