Scapular Wall Slides
A step-by-step guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the movement and what to watch for.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Stand with your back to a wall, feet a few inches out, and flatten the low back against it.
- Put the backs of the arms and hands on the wall in a goalpost position.
- Slide the arms up overhead, keeping the wrists, elbows and low back in contact with the wall.
- Slide back down and repeat.
FORM TIPS
- Losing wall contact is the top of your range. Stop there rather than arching the back to reach higher.
