Rotary Torso Machine
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Machine
HOW TO PERFORM
- Sit in the machine and lock the legs and hips into the pads so the lower body cannot move.
- Take the handles or set the chest pads and sit tall.
- Rotate the torso to one side against the resistance, turning from the ribcage.
- Return under control rather than letting the stack pull you back, and work both directions.
FORM TIPS
- Set a modest range each way. The seated position pins the hips, so extra range comes straight out of the low back.
TARGET MUSCLES

- Obliques
Secondary
