Ring Reverse Fly
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Rings
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set the rings at about chest height, take one in each hand and walk the feet forward until you lean back with the arms straight out in front.
- Keep the body in a straight line from heels to head, heels on the floor.
- With the arms straight, open them out to the sides until the hands are level with the shoulders and the body has risen to the rings.
- Bring the arms back in under control and lower to the start.
FORM TIPS
- The elbows stay straight or fixed in a slight bend. Bending them during the rep turns it into a row.
- The more upright you stand, the easier it is. Walk the feet forward a little at a time to progress.
