Reverse Nordic Curl
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Kneel tall on a pad with the knees about hip width and the glutes squeezed so the hips stay locked out.
- Keeping the body in a straight line from knees to head, lean the whole torso back toward the heels.
- Go as far as you can control, then pull yourself back upright with the quads.
FORM TIPS
- A knee-extension movement, not a back bend: if the hips fold and the glutes drop toward the heels, the quads have stopped working. Start with a short range.
TARGET MUSCLES
