Cable Reverse Grip Tricep Pushdown
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Cable
HOW TO PERFORM
- Stand facing a high cable and take the bar underhand, palms facing up and hands about shoulder width apart.
- Tuck the elbows against your sides and push the bar down until the arms are straight.
- Let the bar come back up under control only as far as the elbows can stay at your sides.
FORM TIPS
- The underhand grip is weaker than an overhand one, so expect less weight than on a standard pushdown. Keep the wrists straight rather than letting them bend back.
