Quadruped Thoracic Rotation
A step-by-step guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the movement and what to watch for.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- On all fours, put one hand behind your head with that elbow pointing down.
- Keeping the hips square and still, rotate the chest and drive that elbow up toward the ceiling.
- Follow the elbow with your eyes, then lower it back under you toward the opposite arm.
- Work one side for reps, then switch.
FORM TIPS
- If the hips swing, sit back a little toward the heels. That locks the low back out and forces the rotation into the mid-back, which is the point.
