Pseudo Planche Push Up
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set up in a push-up position with the hands turned out or back, level with the waist rather than the shoulders.
- Lean the shoulders forward well past the hands and hold that lean throughout.
- Lower the chest to the floor keeping the lean, then press back up without letting the shoulders travel back over the hands.
FORM TIPS
- The forward lean is the exercise, not the push up. It is the main strength builder on the road to a planche, so expect very few reps.
TARGET MUSCLES
