Pike Push Up
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Start in a push-up position and walk the feet in, lifting the hips high into an upside-down V.
- Keep the hips stacked over the hands so the press is close to vertical.
- Bend the elbows and lower the crown of the head toward the floor just in front of the hands.
- Press back up to straight arms.
FORM TIPS
- Shoulder work rather than chest work, and the standard step on the way to a handstand push up. Put the feet on a box to make it more vertical and harder.
TARGET MUSCLES

- Shoulders
Secondary
- Triceps
