HOW TO PERFORM
- Set the saddle so the knee stays slightly bent with the pedal at the bottom of the stroke.
- Wear a helmet, and check the brakes and tire pressure before you set off.
- Hold the bars with relaxed arms and the elbows slightly bent, eyes on the road ahead.
- Pedal at a smooth, steady cadence and shift gears to hold that cadence on hills instead of grinding.
- Log the distance ridden.
FORM TIPS
- Spinning a lighter gear faster spares the knees on long climbs.
- Use the distance your bike computer or phone records, so rides compare from week to week.
Log it in Ægir Iron alongside the rest of your training. Free for individual lifters.
