Oblique Crunch
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Lie on your back with the knees bent and the feet flat, then cross the right ankle over the left knee.
- Put the left hand lightly behind the head and rest the right arm on the floor out to the side.
- Curl the left shoulder up and across toward the right knee, turning the ribcage as you rise.
- Lower under control, finish the set, then switch legs and work the other side.
FORM TIPS
- Turn the ribcage, not the elbow. Pulling the head across with the hand only moves the neck.
- The low back stays on the floor. The rep is a short curl and twist, not a sit-up.
