Meadows Row
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Barbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set a bar in a landmine and stand side-on to it in a staggered stance, the near foot forward.
- Brace the free hand on the front knee and take the end of the bar in an overhand grip, arm hanging straight down.
- Row the sleeve up toward the hip, driving the elbow high and back.
- Lower to a full stretch, letting the shoulder blade travel forward, then finish the side and swap.
FORM TIPS
- The overhand grip and the landmine arc are what separate it from a dumbbell row: the load gets heavier through the top of the pull.
