Barbell Landmine Squeeze Press
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Barbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set a bar in a landmine and kneel tall facing it, with the end of the bar in front of the chest.
- Hold the end with both hands, palms pressed hard against the sides of the sleeve and fingers pointing up.
- Squeeze the palms together and press the bar up and away until the arms are straight.
- Lower it under control back to the chest without easing the squeeze.
FORM TIPS
- Press the palms into the bar the whole set rather than gripping it. The inward pressure is what brings in the chest.
- Kneeling takes the legs out, so keep the glutes squeezed and the ribs down instead of leaning back to finish.
