Barbell Landmine Shoulder to Shoulder Press
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Barbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set a bar in a landmine and stand facing it with the feet about shoulder width apart.
- Hold the end of the bar in both hands, fingers interlaced over the sleeve, and bring it to the front of one shoulder.
- Brace the trunk and press the bar up and over in an arc, locking the arms out in front of the head at the top.
- Lower it to the front of the other shoulder, then press it back across. Each press is one rep.
FORM TIPS
- Keep the hips and chest facing the landmine. The bar swings from side to side, and the trunk's job is to stop you turning with it.
- Lower to each shoulder under control rather than letting the bar drop to the side.
