Barbell Landmine Deadlift
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Barbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Load the free end of a landmine bar and stand astride it facing the anchor, with the end of the bar between your feet.
- Push the hips back, bend the knees and grip the bar with both hands just in front of the plates, back flat.
- Brace, then stand tall, driving the hips forward as the bar rises in its arc.
- Lower it back under control until the plates touch the floor.
FORM TIPS
- The bar travels in an arc toward the anchor and finishes in front of you. Keep the chest up and let it.
- Set the plates down between reps so every rep starts from the floor.
