Elevated Pike Push Up
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Put the feet on a bench and walk the hands back toward it, lifting the hips until they are over the shoulders.
- Set the hands a little wider than the shoulders and keep the legs straight.
- Bend the elbows and lower the crown of the head toward the floor just in front of the hands.
- Press back up to straight arms.
FORM TIPS
- Raising the feet puts more of your weight on the hands than a floor pike push up. The higher the bench, the closer it gets to a handstand push up.
TARGET MUSCLES

- Shoulders
Secondary
