Dumbbell Drag Curl
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Dumbbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand at arm's length beside the thighs, palms facing forward.
- Curl them up by driving the elbows back behind the body, dragging the dumbbells up close to the sides of the torso.
- Stop when the dumbbells reach the lower ribs, then lower them back down the same path.
FORM TIPS
- The elbows travelling backwards keeps tension on the biceps instead of handing the load to the front delts at the top.
