Decline Push Up
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Put the FEET on a bench or box with the hands on the floor a little wider than the shoulders.
- Hold the body in a straight line with the ribs down, and lower the chest to the floor.
- Press back up to a full lockout.
FORM TIPS
- Feet elevated shifts weight onto the hands and tilts the press toward the upper chest and shoulders, so it is harder than a flat push up, not easier.
TARGET MUSCLES
