Decline Crunch
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set the decline bench to a moderate angle, hook the feet under the rollers and lie back on the pad.
- Cross the arms over the chest.
- Curl the shoulders and upper back off the pad by shortening the abs, keeping the low back on the pad.
- Pause at the top, then lower under control until the shoulders touch the pad.
FORM TIPS
- Stop before the low back leaves the pad. Sitting all the way up is a decline sit up, a different exercise.
