Dumbbell Cross Body Hammer Curl
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Dumbbell
HOW TO PERFORM
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand at arm's length, palms facing your thighs.
- Curl one dumbbell up and across the body toward the opposite shoulder, keeping the palm facing in.
- Lower it under control to a straight arm, then curl the other side.
FORM TIPS
- Keep the upper arm close to your side as the forearm crosses the body. Letting the elbow swing out turns the curl into a shoulder movement.
