Copenhagen Plank
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Bodyweight
HOW TO PERFORM
- Lie on your side next to a bench with the bottom forearm on the floor, elbow under the shoulder.
- Put the TOP leg on the bench, supported at the knee to start or out at the ankle for the full version.
- Lift the hips until the body is straight, squeezing the inner thigh of the top leg down into the bench.
- Hold, then switch sides.
FORM TIPS
- Adductor work first and core work second, which is why the top leg is the one on the bench. Start with the knee supported: going straight to the ankle is a big jump.
