Cable Rope Seated Row
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Cable
HOW TO PERFORM
- Clip a rope to the low pulley of the cable row station and sit with the feet on the platform and a slight bend in the knees.
- Take an end of the rope in each hand, palms facing each other, and sit tall with the arms reaching forward.
- Row the rope to the lower chest, pulling the ends apart as the hands pass the ribs.
- Return under control to a full reach without letting the low back round.
FORM TIPS
- Pulling the ends apart lets the hands travel further back than a single handle allows, so the shoulder blades can squeeze fully together.
