Band-Only Leg Curl
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Band
HOW TO PERFORM
- Anchor the band low behind you and hook it around your ankles.
- Lie face-down, or stand on one leg holding support.
- Curl the heels toward the glutes, then lower slowly against the band.
FORM TIPS
- Keep the hips down. Letting them rise turns the hamstrings off and makes it a hip movement.
- The lowering is where a band curl earns its keep, so take it slower than the curl up.
