Band-Assisted Glute Ham Raise
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Band
HOW TO PERFORM
- Anchor a band high behind the GHD and loop it around your chest under the arms.
- Set up with the feet against the plate and the thighs on the pad, body straight from knees to head.
- Lower under control by straightening the knees, letting the band take more of your weight as you go down.
- Curl the knees closed to pull yourself back up, keeping the hips locked out.
FORM TIPS
- The band helps most at the bottom. Use the lightest band that lets you finish the set.
