Assisted Pull Up Machine
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Machine
HOW TO PERFORM
- Set the assistance weight, then kneel or stand on the machine's pad.
- Take the handles overhead and let the pad take you down to a full hang with the arms straight.
- Pull until the chin passes the handles, keeping the chest up.
- Lower under control to straight arms.
FORM TIPS
- The number on this stack is how much help you get, so a HIGHER number is an easier rep. Working down it is the progression, which is the opposite of every other machine in the gym.
