Kettlebell Half Turkish Get Up
A step-by-step form guide from the Ægir Iron exercise library: how to do the lift, what to watch for, and the muscles it trains.
- Equipment
- Kettlebell
This is a technical lift, best learned under a coach’s eye before loading heavy.
HOW TO PERFORM
- Lie on your back, press the bell overhead in one hand and bend that side's knee with the foot flat, keeping your eyes on the bell throughout.
- Punch the bell up and roll onto the free forearm, then straighten that arm to the hand.
- Drive through the flat foot to lift the hips into a bridge, keeping the bell arm vertical.
- Lower the hips, then return to the forearm and the floor in reverse order.
FORM TIPS
- Learn the sequence with a shoe balanced on the fist before loading it. Each step is a position to own, not a rep to rush.
