Ægir Iron is built and run by one person.
I'm a lifter and a licensed professional engineer. For the past 25 years, my day job has been estimating rare, high-stakes events from imperfect data, and I've published peer-reviewed work on how to quantify the uncertainty in those estimates. I'm not an exercise scientist or a coach, just a long-time lifter with an intense curiosity.
From engineering and science I brought the habits that make work credible and defensible: regular audits, adversarial reviews, a source for every number, and every method written down where you can check it. Ægir Iron's calculations come from published research and established programs, and every source is listed under Sources in the app's Library. Where a value is my own judgement, the app says so.
Because it's just me, I read every forum post and every feedback email myself. There are no investors, no ad business, and no advertising or tracking SDKs in the app (only cookieless, first-party Vercel Analytics and Sentry crash reporting).
